There aren't too many more opportunities left to enjoy a summer street festival, so we say, you may as well go out with a bang — or, a meatball. The 7th annual Taylor Street Festa Italiana takes place From Thursday, August 22 to Sunday, August 25, so you've got four days to get your pizza, pasta, and vino fix in Chicago's heart of Italy.
But eating isn't the only thing on the agenda — even though there is a meatball contest. You can also expect grape stomping, bocce ball, live entertainment (from old school to new cool), cooking demonstrations, dancing, and local artisans displaying their wares. There's a suggested $5 donation at the door that benefits the University Village Association, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that helps keep Little Italy buzzin'. Now that's amore.
