Is Jemima Khan, A True Style Star, Russell Brand’s New Gal?

This week, British comedian Russell Brand stepped out with a new lady on his arm. His latest conquest is socialite/writer/activist Jemima Kahn. Of Kahn, Brand said, "I'm not typically immune to the allure of objectified women, but I am presently beleaguered by a nerdish, whirling dervish, and am eschewing all others." Well, that's certainly one way to announce that you're in a relationship.

So who is Jemima Khan? Well, she first gained attention in 1995, when she married Imran Khan, a Pakistani cricket player who later became a politician. Khan traveled in esteemed circles, counting Princess Diana among one of her closest friends. She also pursued fashion and philanthropy — and in 1998, launched her own fashion line with all proceeds from the line going to her husband's charity hospital.

But her fairytale marriage didn't last. Khan and her husband divorced in 2004. The following year, she began a high-profile relationship with Hugh Grant, which ended amicably after three years.

Brand and Khan have been friends for years, and only recently took things up a notch. Despite his reportedly super-rude way of divorcing ex Katy Perry, he's been nothing but a soppy romantic with Khan: "A friend of mine said, 'Being in love is like discovering a concealed ballroom in a house you've long inhabited.'"
