Sure, scenes of violent takedowns, blood baths, electric shocks, and a casual insane asylum musical number have filled our television sets for two seasons straight, but Ryan Murphy doesn't stop at mere fear value. In fact, if you look closely, you'll find calculated interior design motives that wholly enrich the spaces he's imagined.
