American Horror Story: 16 Lessons In Interior Design

When it comes to American Horror Story, the first thing that comes to mind isn't necessarily design. Sure, scenes of violent takedowns, blood baths, electric shocks, and a casual insane asylum musical number have filled our television sets for two seasons straight, but Ryan Murphy doesn't stop at mere fear value. In fact, if you look closely, you'll find calculated interior design motives that wholly enrich the spaces he's imagined. For instance, a gory beat down just wouldn't have the same effect on a shag rug as it does on the gritty surface of a sisal floor cover, would it?
