Adam Sandler, Katherine Heigl Among Hollywood’s Smoke & Mirrors

We don't want to say that actors have it easy, but Forbes' new list of the most overpaid actors sure isn't doing much to convince us of the contrary. Sure, being a celebrity comes with its fair share of scrutiny and paparazzi stalking, but when you're making tens of millions of dollars on a movie flop, life looks pretty cushy. The finance mag calculated the Hollywood bigwigs who offer the least ROI, and while the celebs themselves may not come as a surprise, the numbers certainly will.

Forbes used a pretty simple formula: It took actors' paychecks on their last three movies and pitted them against the flicks' box-office earnings. Adam Sandler, notorious for blockbuster flops, topped the list thanks to Jack & Jill and That's My Boy. Despite being one of the few actors in town who can still demand a $15 million paycheck, very few of his movies seem to pan out at the theaters.
