Venue? Check! Dress? Check! Wedding insurance? Wait, what? Well, if you've ever planned a wedding (or heard your BFF gush about hers), then you are well-aware of how expensive a complete affair can cost these days.
In fact, the AP reported that wedding insurance policies are becoming a checklist item just as much as a cake. While it is meant to protect the purchaser against unfortunate circumstances like illness, a hurricane (destination affair perhaps?), or deployment, Travelers Insurance admitted that roughly a quarter of the claims were related to vendor "oopsies," such as a botched-up job by a photographer. There's even a policy from Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. that covers changing your mind about getting married, should someone back out nine months or more in advance. We don't know about you, but if you're already thinking about being a runaway bride, perhaps you shouldn't be planning a wedding in the first place. (Jezebel)
