One would think that it would be hard for former Lululemon chief product officer Sheree Waterson to bounce back following that whole see-through yoga pants debacle. Even though the company claims she voluntarily stepped down, various news sources speculated that the $67 million "whoops" was ultimately her demise. If so, she's certainly landed on her feet. Fashionista reports that the go-getter has a new gig as president and chief product officer at Nasty Gal.
Waterson is the third big-league hire the company has made in the past two months, following a new chief financial officer and senior vice president. Considering CEO Sophia Amoruso started the biz by selling clothes on eBay from her casa, this is quite a coup. Furthermore, the up-and-coming entrepreneur isn't worried one bit about entrusting the growth of her company to Waterson. “She had a great run and she was [at Lululemon] for five-and-a-half years and built an amazing business,” Amoruso told WWD. “I don’t look at much more than that.” And, we're thinking loyal Nasty Gal fans won't either — especially with the brand's brick-and-mortar store arriving in the near future.
