Now that Donald Sterling's days as the owner of Los Angeles Clippers are likely over, it's time to put all this ugliness behind us and begin to move forward. If the list of potential successors has any veracity, the future is bright.
The diverse list of celebrities interested in purchasing the team once the NBA Board of Governors inevitably votes Sterling out, includes a rap mogul, a boxing champion, a former child star, a basketball legend, a Hollywood icon, and Oprah. While Winfrey might be the only one of the bunch who has the necessary dineros to make the big purchase on her own, even she is reportedly partnering with two very rich friends. Whoever does decide to buy the Clippers will be inheriting one of the sexiest teams in pro sports. Once the NBA's perennial laughingstock, the team was transformed into a legitimate title contender thanks to a combination of good drafting and shrewd trades.
More importantly, the Clippers no longer play second fiddle to the juggernaut Lakers, and have become a main attraction in a town full of them. Let the bidding war begin.
