End-of-year best-of lists are starting to feel a bit like Christmas decorations. They just appear earlier and earlier every winter. (Is it even winter yet?) This time, the first year-end roundup comes from the editors at Amazon, who've chosen the top 100 books of 2014, and we're not even halfway through November.
Sara Nelson, editorial director of Amazon Books, and her team read 480 books to formulate the list. So, they've done their homework (and saved all of us a ton of time). The team's top 10 picks are ahead, with their thoughts on why each book was chosen. Think of it this way: You'll have plenty of time to read them before 2015 even starts.
