L.A. certainly hosts its fair share of beautiful photography exhibits. But, none inspire as much giddy anticipation as Paris Photo, which invades Paramount Pictures Studios’ New York City Backlot each spring.
If you’ve been, you understand our excitement. If you haven’t, here's a little background: Paris Photo, which launched back in 1996, is now one of the world’s largest photography fairs. Of course, it shows in the fall in Paris (at the Grand Palais, one of the city's most stunning event spaces), and now, for the third year in a row, the fair is also showing in Hollywood. Expect works from 79 different galleries and art book dealers, from an impressive 17 countries.
Whether you’re looking for inspiration from the coolest emerging
international photogs, or a good excuse to get up close and personal with
sets that have played home to Seinfeld and Friends, it’s
the perfect way to spend your Saturday or Sunday afternoon. (And, tickets cost less than a movie and popcorn!)
Feeling curious? We’ve tapped the fest to share a handful of the works you'll find on display at this year's Paris Photo. Check out our special preview ahead and make room for this this must-visit show on your weekend itinerary.
