Books That Will Help Your Brain Escape The Pandemic

There are people who cope with difficult times by leaning into them, but I'm not someone who wants to read a book about pandemics right now. In fact, if I had it my way, I'd never hear another word about coronavirus again unless you promised me it was good news.
Until then, I'll be kicking back with one of these books, books that don't mention COVID-19, quarantine, or come close to giving me a panic attack. They're filled with drama, sure, but the delicious kind that will satiate your need for human contact while you responsibly social distance your way through this whole thing.
These books aren't to be confused with beach reads — although if you can read them on a beach, six feet away from other sunbathers, you should — but are instead a mix of sunny, dreamy content and just downright addicting stories. These books are about love, travel, food, and a forbidden romance with an English prince. Nothing will make you feel less like you've been inside on your couch all day than getting lost in the spines of one of these. We'll get through this one page at a time.
