While not every bride may have the extra $200 to have her hair coiffed, that doesn't mean she has to walk down the aisle with limp locks. In fact, voluminous wedding day tresses are hot in a big way right now — but you need not look to a stylist for assistance. We've got the scoop on how you can create a soft, romantic 'do all by yourself in just four easy steps.
TRESemmé stylist Jeanie Syfu was inspired to create this look for Jenny Packham’s 2014 bridal collection. No traditional updo, here. Syfu worked her magic to create billowy, ethereal tendrils that exuded old-school glamour without looking dated. With just a little curling and teasing, you can look like you just stepped off the runway, too. What are you waiting for? Your easy wedding day 'do is just four steps away. After all, practice makes perfect.
Steps:
1. Liberally apply mousse and blow-dry with a brush — boar-bristle is best.
2. Spray a heat protectant on each section to protect from high heat, then curl hair with a smaller iron at the nape, medium-sized barrel from the ears to crown, and a one-inch barrel iron on the top.
3. Coil each curl and secure with a pin-curl clip or bobby pin.
4. Once cooled, take the pins out and tease hair from roots to ends to create texture. Set with hairspray.
