Truth: The Chicago summer affords some of the best alfresco dining around. However, ordering glass after glass of chardonnay can be quite the budget bummer. Enter, the BYOB restaurant. These money-saving establishments allow us to enjoy all the benefits of a lovely outdoor get-together without the cork fees.
And don't even sweat it; we've done the digging for you and found the city's best (and prettiest!) patios—and we might have had a glass or two along the way! Now, all you have to do is round up your friends and start popping bottles. That, and making up a good excuse for leaving work early.
