Start Festival Season A Little Early This Year–With Movies!

cimm-fest-main
If you're like us, you've been on one too many day drinking excursions this spring (thanks St. Patty's for starting the downward spiral our life has become), and could use a little intellectual stimulation. Enter CIMMfest, or Chicago International Movies and Music Festival, the brainchild of Musician Josh Cicoine (of Cloudbirds and The M's) and film editor Ilko Davidov. They started the event to show audiences just how integral music is to film (and vice versa), and the idea took off. This year's iteration will feature all kinds of entertainment, from concerts and DJ sets, to Q&A's and movies (duh). Events start this Thursday and run until April 15, at venues all over Wicker Park and Logan Square. Snap up tix here, and don't forget your pocket notebook — remember, this is the thinking (wo)man's festival.
