Christos Garkinos, co-owner of decades, is so stoked to return to one of his favorite cities (ours), that he's bringing an entire pop-up shop with him. This weekend, space519 at the 900 Shops will host decades as the brand tempts Chicago shoppers with new and vintage designer finds. All clothing and accessories have been pre-loved, so you can't possibly imagine what you'll find until you're in the mix. We stole a few moments with Christos to get his thoughts on Chicago shopping, and why we should all hustle over to space519 this weekend to get the goods. See what Christos loves and remembers about Chicago, then book yourself and your bestie for a shop-fest this weekend.

What do you love about fashion (and shopping) in Chicago?
As a kid, Chicago was the first big city I visited, so seeing Marshall Field’s for the first time really was an event! Chicago was also the first place I saw men wearing fur. And I met Cher for the first time at the old Virgin Megastore. So my love for shopping in Chicago is all about firsts!
Where do you personally love to shop while you're here?
I love to wander throughout all the different neighborhoods because there is such a good mix of indie stores (like our hosts’ space519) and the big boys like Neimans.
How is this decades pop-up going to benefit Chicago shoppers?
We will have insane outerwear (at great prices) — no fur for men though. And Chicago will have the international launch of our new jewelry line in collaboration with Miriam Haskell. And, oh, the shoes. Our $150 shoe event is on Sunday. Not to be missed!
