We don't know about you, but come Sunday, we try to get ourselves back into workweek mode — especially if Friday and/or Saturday turned out to be late nights. But this Sunday, April 7, we encourage you to forgo that evening in with takeout for the "Fashion Rocks" charity event, taking place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at hot spot bellyQ.
Here's the not-so skinny: The West Loop restaurant teamed up with rad men's boutique haberdash to throw a fashion- and food-infused soirée featuring a slew of cooking stations and passed apps from top eateries such as Carriage House, Spiaggia, GT Fish & Oyster, Embeya, Hot Chocolate, Ruxbin, Goosefoot, Pecking Order, and several more. To wash all that goodness down, there will be plenty of cocktail action, wine, and beer from local breweries. Of course, the event is called Fashion Rocks, so expect live fashion installations showcasing haberdash's 2013 spring line. It may be the end of your weekend, but at least you can go out with a bang.
Tickets are $150 and can be purchased via Brown Paper Tickets. All proceeds benefit Common Threads and the West Loop Community Organization.
