Don’t Miss It! Chicago Fashion Foundation’s Annual Scholarship Benefit

By Sierra Tishgart
Attention all crazed Project Runway fans: Season 8 alum Peach Carr is hosting the Chicago Fashion Foundation’s annual Scholarship Benefit this Thursday, March 3 at the Chicago History Museum. (If you’re not a Project Runway fan, what are you doing on a fashion blog?—Auf Wiedersehen!) The benefit will feature designs created by local student designers based on a theme—Chicago’s music scene. We’re hoping for some blues-inspired suits or sweet kicks à la Kanye. The Chicago Fashion Foundation provides academic scholarships to local college students studying fashion. Local Designer Lara Miller, NBC’s 24/7 Chicago host Catie Keogh, and Giorgio Armani’s Amanda Monteiro will judge the event and award the first-place winner a $5,000 scholarship. Will we see you there? Tickets are available online, Student: $20, CFF member: $30, Non-member: $40.
Chicago History Museum, 1601 North Clark Street; 312-642-4600.
