This Pineapple-Crazy Collection Cures All Rainy Day Blues

We get a little bit antsy around this time of year. An unsatisfied glance at our interior situation inspires us to seek out saturated hues and vivid touches to add to the palette — and motivates us to start gearing our abode for spring.
Well, Cali-based homegoods brand Elephant Landing is here to lend a helping hand. Its Spring ’14 line of bright throws, tablecloths, table runners, pillows, and scarves is just what we need to give our homes a mini facelift. We’re talking pineapple-embellished (!!) adornments and patterned pieces that will add zest to any nook.
But, let’s glance past the poppy items for a sec (we know, it’s hard), because Elephant Landing is so much more than pretty knickknacks. The company’s mission and drive behind the brand is to teach women in rural India how to sew and dye garments, and then in turn, to access work opportunities in their country. 100% of the profits from Elephant Landing go toward this initiative. Wowza! The designs we see are ones from women in the program. “Our Spring ‘14 creations are all made from hand-block dyed raw linen and cotton silk, and the design inspirations come from the notion of vibrant life,” says founder Caroline Lee. We can’t argue with cool designs served with a side of human goodness. Click to see the wow-worthy lookbook after the jump.
