The hail storm that probably ruined your Thursday night plans also demolished something far more important. The Garfield Park Conservatory lost many, many panes of glass from its roof during the storm. You can imagine the carnage that ensued when tons of window glass rained down on the gorgeous conservatory. Tonight at The Hideout, join other landmark-lovers for a special summertime edition of Soup & Bread (all cold this time). Starting at 5:30 p.m., check out yummies from Swim Cafe, Inspiration Kitchens, Tre Kronor, Milk & Honey, Mana Food Bar, Big Star, Celestial Kitchens, and City Provisions. If that many righteous restos can come out for a good cause, so can we. Damn the hail, save the conservatory!
