5 Last-Minute Ideas For Festive Halloween Fun

2
While you may have already gotten your Halloween kicks over the weekend, today is the actual holiday — and Wednesday, a.k.a. hump day. Instead of heading straight home after work, we've got a few suggestions for some last-minute Halloween fun. It's not that your coworker's cupcakes didn't make you feel like a kid again, but wouldn't you rather be sipping a festive cocktail instead?

Meal Deals At Burger Joint

Hungry? Grab a pal and take advantage of Burger Joint's buy one meal and receive the second at half-price deal from 2 to 7 p.m. The feast includes fries, a drink, and your choice of one of its tasty mains, such as handcrafted burgers (like the Hot Mess with chili and cheese), hot dogs, salads, and more. Oh, and there will be candy for the taking, as well.

Burger Joint, 675 North Franklin Street (at Huron Street); 312-440-8600.

Heaven On Earth Bash At Studio Paris

And you thought all the good parties were on Saturday. Bust out that costume one more time and head out to the super-hot Studio Paris for a high-energy Halloween bash from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. World renowned DJ Martin Solveig (you know that catchy tune "Hello") will be spinning, and rest assured — the cocktails will be flowing. Tickets are $35 for women and $60 for men and can be purchased here.

Studio Paris, 59 West Hubbard Street (between Clark Street and Dearborn Parkway); 312-595-0800.

Renegades Ball At Beauty Bar

We love this place because we know we can always get that mani ($10, tasty martini included) we never have time for on our lunch break. Tonight, Bands Shred One and Mama Bear will provide a little soulful entertainment, $3 select drafts, and $4 well drinks, in the spirit of Halloween, of course. Just don't ruin that manicure digging for your credit card.

Beauty Bar, 1444 West Chicago Avenue (at Bishop Street); 312-226-8828.

Dim Sum In The Dark Dinner At Sunda

If you're not up for the club scene, but a night at home isn't doing the trick, treat yourself to some of Sunda's amazing dim sum — in the dark. It's lights out and candles lit while you dive into signature favorites like steamed shrimp dumplings, crispy daikon cakes, and pumpkin maki. You just might want to avoid wearing white. We've heard soy sauce is a nightmare to remove.

Sunda, 110 West Illinois Street (between Clark Street and La Salle Drive); 312-644-0500.

Northhalsted Street Halloween Parade

Going on its 16th year, this costume-studded parade steps off at Halsted Street and Waveland Avenue at 7 p.m. and continues south to Belmont Avenue. This year's theme? Apocalypse 2012. We can only imagine what the streets are going to look like tonight.

Northalsted Street Halloween Parade, 3700 North Halsted Street (at Waveland Avenue); 773-325-2233.
