“What’s that in the sky? It’s a bird ... it’s a plane ... it’s ... it’s ...” could serve as the caption for many of the works featured in "With Us", a photographic exhibition by Leslie Bembinster and Christopher Hainey (of local band Maps and Atlases) opening at Dovetail Chicago this Friday. Leslie is a scientist and a professional model (beauty and brains!); Christopher is a musician and cinematographer. The artistic duo, who happen to be a couple, have merged their diverse backgrounds to produce a collection of photographs with a nod to 1950s alien invasion films. And while the subjects in the photos are on the cusp of impending doom, you can enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks as well as 50% off all summer items. We're guessing there'll be more optimistic captions for the photos you snap Friday night.
