Whipping out your scissors and sewing kit to give your favorite pair of Levi's® a delicious, one-of-a-kind DIY twist is always a bit of guaranteed fun (provided you know what you're doing). But, like most things, DIYing gets, like, a million times better when you add friends, food, music, and a little bit of R29 magic.
That's why we're inviting you over to the North Side to join us at the Levi's store on N. Michigan Avenue (between Ohio and Ontario streets) on Monday, September 9th, from 6 to 9 p.m., for the best denim DIY event, ever. With jewelry designer Laura Lombardi as host, we'll be teaching you how to add fabric stenciling and mixed-media details to your Levi's® Trucker, Western, and 501® picks at our fully stocked crafting tables. (Plus, get 20% off purchases that night to make those stylish staples easier to take home.) Oh, and if you use Levi's® #MakeOurMark hashtag on your Tweets or Instagrams from the event, you'll be entered to win two tickets to the Chicago kickoff event for Station To Station, a public art project made possible by Levi's®.
And, to make this party so much more than cutting and sewing, we've got DJ sets by Ladytron's Reuben Wu, food from The Haute and the Dog, and a Bloody Mary bar stocked with Double Cross Vodka. By the by, drinking and driving? Not okay. But drinking and DIYing? Completely fine.
So, save your spot by shooting an email to rsvp@refinery29.com. This is one night of DIYing you don't want to miss.
