What can we say — we called it. Yet again. We knew artist Maja Ruznic was bound for big, big things. Not only is the super-skilled painter (and R29 fave) on the cover of New American Painters (which is currently sold out!) this year, she’s also garnering more much-deserved attention. And trust us, she’s only nicked the tip of the iceberg.
Above, behold ABC7's candid segment on Ruznic that gives viewers a glimpse into the Potrero-based artist's world. The video goes behind the scenes with Ruznic at her day job, teaching art to local school kids, who she finds mega inspiring. "Children are just fascinating. They are honest and blunt," Maja tells ABC. The video also delves into the artist's past and childhood in war-torn Bosnia. Check it out and get ready to be inspired yourself.
