We live for the weekend. So, this fall, we're sharing the epic destinations that are filling up our 48 hours of uninterrupted freedom in this new series, Weekend Wanderlust. Get inspired, and then show us your own #Epic48 weekend snaps on Instagram.
They say mixing business with pleasure is never a good idea, but for New York-based fashion designer Fiona Thomas, work is pleasure. The 37-year-old co-owner of cult lifestyle brand Thomas Sires spends her days gathering inspiration to create the whimsical, feminine frocks, jumpers, and floral shorts that the Nolita shop is known for.
And, despite clocking out for the weekend, Thomas never stops sourcing — and absorbing — her surroundings. Naturally, we wanted to know where the designer spends her off-hours, so we teamed up with Secret's Scent Expressions and Destinations Collection to follow her endless, art-filled weekend. From cookie decorating in Soho to a textile hunt at a trimming store in the Garment District, this local inspiration walk is straight-up eye candy for your inner artist.
