Picnic Blankets Replaced Traditional Seating At This Backyard Wedding

Arlene and Jake — two ocean-loving, free-spirited souls — decided to celebrate their wedding day in a way that would best represent their true selves. The ceremony and reception were held in the groom's parents' backyard in Perth, Western Australia. Their approach was DIY; they even did all of the catering themselves with help from friends.
Instead of tables with assigned seating, the guests sat on blankets and feasted on picnic-basket fare: cheese, bread, and charcuterie. Also on offer were hot pizza, fresh fruit, ice cream, and their favorite handmade desserts — all of which guests enjoyed beneath a gorgeous starry sky.
Enlisting the help of their musician friends, Arlene and Jake made sure there was live music all night. When not kicking back on the grass, guests danced barefoot under the stars until the early hours of the morning. Love was definitely in the air.
