Our Favorite Local Shops That We’ll Be Hitting Up Today

1
It's no secret that Chicago is a world-class city when it comes to amazing shopping — from Barneys to Topshop, we've pretty much got it all. But, with all the big-box stores, it's easy to forget the little guys. Today is Small Business Saturday, which means it's your turn to show the mom-and-pops of Chicago your love. While the Windy City's local businesses are all special in their own way, we've done the hard work and picked out four of our faves. Read through to get the deets on each one, and spend, spend, spend.

Eskell

The main draw here is the super-luxe in-store line, which offers everything we working girls need to stay stylish. But, the owners also keep a steady stock of hard-to-find collections and, of course, vintage.

1509 North Milwaukee Avenue (at Honore Street); 773-486-0830.

Virtu

This Damen Avenue spot bills itself as the place for someone who has everything, and that couldn't be more true. The gift shop carries anything from jewelry to kitchen decor, so it's the perfect place to pick up stocking stuffers.

2034 North Damen Avenue (between Dickens and McLeans avenues); 773-235-3790.

P.O.S.H.

If your apartment is in need of a little TLC, you'll love this shop's collection of vintage silver, china, and European flea market finds. P.O.S.H. is located inside the historical Tree Studio building, so even the store's exterior is every bit as precious as the loot.

613 North State Street (between Ontario and Ohio streets); 312-280-1602.

Roslyn

The owner of this Bucktown boutique earned her chops working at J.Crew's NYC headquarters, and now she brings the best in emerging designers to the Windy City. Our favorite part about shopping here? The bios displayed by each designer's wares.

2035 North Damen Avenue (between Dickens and McLean avenues); 773-489-1311.
