A South Beach Spot Without Overpriced Bottles? Yes, This Unicorn Does Exist

jeronimo's - post
We’ve been hearing about this low-key, part bar, part lounge scheduled to open South of Fifth since early summer. Well, Jeronimo’s Bar didn’t quite make it in time for bikini season, but it did manage to open just in time for the New Year. Hey, we’ll take it.
Local entrepreneur Jeronimo Hirschfeld saw a gap in the nearby bar scene, so he decided to take action by recently opening his own come-as-you-are watering hole that’s sophisticated enough for a date, and clean enough that you can wear sandals without fearing for your toes. Better still: You shouldn't expect to find lines, overpriced bottles, or live loud music here. Instead, the masculine-industrial space (think exposed brink, maple-wood tables) will feature curated music by well-known DJs (DJ Gunars, Eyal Agai from Pirate Stereo and DJ Ruen), custom-made drinks, and a less pricey version of bottle service (which won't be a requirement to get past the bouncer).

Located just down the way from Clarke’s, the 2,400 square-foot joint is the first of Hirschfeld’s nightlife ventures. Next up is a more party-oriented second location with a circular bar scheduled to open in Brickell next year. Way to raise the bar.
