From earthy indie jams to adrenaline-pumping rock 'n' roll, Chicago is home to musicians of every sort. We’ve tracked down three stylish and mega-talented Chi-town ladies who use their beats, brains, and brilliance to back up their musical muse status. You may not be able to DJ a packed Pump Room house, see your music video on MTV, or croon to a sold-out dance hall crowd, but you can totally steal the style of the lovely ladies who do all three. We pulled together three inspiring looks that show off our muses' greatest hits. Now go on and give 'em a spin.

">Scattered Trees, which also includes her husband Nate Eisland and a pack of equally handsome gentlemen. Songs like "Four Days Straight" offer a great opportunity to dance the night away, while "Five Minutes" and "Love and Leave" show their softer side. Chill out after an exhausting day of shopping with their Black Friday show at Lincoln Hall.
Her Look: We caught Alissa the day she was leaving for tour. Her denim-on-denim look layered with comfy knits and a sparkly brogue are a perfect pairing for fall. Add a Navajo print bag, a distinctive pair of sunglasses, and a bright coral lip, to finish this sharp look. Tour bus not included.

Her Sound: You can find Jena Nixon spinning all over town — from her sets at the Pump Room and The Bedford to time logged at Bonnies, this gorgeous tastemaker makes indie staples feel like you’ve never heard them before. Yes, she’s a bit more low key than say....Paul Oakenfold, but that doesn’t mean she won’t get you on your feet.

Her Look: Jena is Kiera Knightley crossed with Alexa Chung — polished and simple, but with a boho twist. Take spring must-haves like floral frocks, and layer them over warm tights and boots for the perfect daytime look. To top it all off, her putty-grey polish and sweet tweed are the perfect complements to her oh-so-chic bob.

The red-hot team has been praised by MTV and has logged over 30,000 miles on tour, all the while keeping their explosive energy and undeniable style firmly in check. Their single “Birthday” is a retro, fun-rock ride with a lush guitar backdrop, and more energy than we know how to handle.
Her Look: Alex’s vintage look mixes amazing florals with denim staples. We fell in love with her clogs and floral tights, perfect for the girl on the move. She turns it up to eleven with a leather saddle bag and a sweet pink lip.
