Not sure how you’re getting to the polls tomorrow? You may be able to get a free, VIP-style ride.
Uber (a mobile app that lets you order a private driver) is offering free rides to election sites for first-time riders on Election Day. All you have to do is sign up, enter the promo code VOTEUBER, select the black car option using the mobile app, and get in the car. Super easy.
Uber is available in 14 cities across the country, from L.A. to NYC. The free ride is good for up to $20.12 in services, and you must be going to a polling location during voting hours. Existing clients in Chicago can snag a free or discounted ride, too.
If you’re not sure where your polling location is (or if you’re for-sure registered), visit canivote.org. And, while you’re there, check the ID requirements in your state: Some locations require a photo ID, voter card, or other form of identification this year. Happy voting!
