The freshest face on the see-and-be-seen scene in Chicago is Pump Room. A stunning revamp of a Chicago institution, Ian Schrager (with help from world-renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten!) has reimagined this hotel restaurant into the poshest new place to find a classic, upscale good time. Don't look for foofy shots or tallboys here—this is where the grown-ups go to drink and dine. And in order to hang, you'll need an outfit flush with cool elegance, which attracts all the right glances, and makes you feel as special as this swanked-out space. Expect lavish, dimly lit decor, a savvy staff, and a $12 classic Manhattan cocktail (we promise it's 100% worth it!). Needless to say, we're pumped.
Pump Room, 1301 North State Parkway (between Goethe & Banks streets); 312-787-3700.
