It wasn't quite clear what was going up on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Ontario until the LED-illuminated black chrome and glass exterior facade went up — an amazing representation of Burberry's iconic tartan pattern and what is considered one of the world's most widely copied trademarks. After months of construction, the Chicago flagship (the second largest store in America after New York's 57th street) finally opened this morning. And, after taking a peek in this gorgeous retail paradise, we think you'll agree that some things really can't be imitated.
As if five floors of incredible men and women's clothing and accessories weren't enough to get us excited, the Chicago store is a location of firsts. For starters, it plays host to a physical representation of Burberry Bespoke — the amazing online tool that allows you to create your own iconic Burberry trench coat with the possibility of more than 12 million designs! The flagship also boasts the first in-store Burberry Beauty consultation counter in North America (hello, holiday party makeover!) and carries an exclusive, limited-edition collection of outerwear and non-apparel for both men and women, created exclusively for Burberry in the Windy City! How's that for an incredible holiday gift idea?
While we suggest you get over to the store to check out all of its glorious goodies yourself, check out these snaps in the meantime. We have a feeling you'll be running over in no time.
