What You Missed: Snaps From The First-Ever Fete Chicago!

We never met a holiday party we didn't love — especially when there's shopping involved! If you were one of the 700 people who came out to the first-ever Fête Chicago (the food and design pop-up market), then you know exactly what we're talking about. Perhaps you snagged some vintage kitchenware from Martyn George, books from City Lit, cosmetics from Arch Apothecary, or stylish threads from Sir & Madame — we did!
And can we talk about the food for a second? Gals were literally walking around with bacon bouquets from Bang Bang Pies — looks like we're not the only ones waiting until January to start that new clean-eating plan! Let's not forget the amazing, smoky, pork nachos from Sauce + Bread Kitchen and Mindy Segal's holiday cookie spread and legendary hot chocolate with house-made marshmallows.
Of course, it wouldn't be a party without some kickin' tunes. Scottie McNiece of Uncanned Music (who creates the soundtracks for all of Brendan Sodikoff's restaurants) created a special playlist for the affair. Don't feel bad if you missed out! Fête will be back in the spring in a larger space, promising restaurant pop-up previews and more incredible vendor love. Keep an eye on the blog for all the exciting updates. In the meantime, check out these snaps from the launch!
