It’s Raining Local Tastemakers! Burberry’s Art Of The Trench Hits Chicago

The gorgeous new, five-floor Burberry store on the Mag Mile (check out these snaps of the gorgeous retail emporium here) is our latest local shopping obsession. Since this city hasn't had an opening like this for quite some time, the Brit brand offered up a spectacle of trench coats, simulated rain, and tunes from the other side of the pond to help spread the word.
Even though we've been dodging our own rain drops lately, Burberry brought in its own "storm" for 700-plus guests at the store's official opening. Gorgeous models armed with umbrellas snapped their well-manicured fingers, mimicking the sound of rain as a "rain shower" of eco-friendly confetti sprinkled down from above. Lay your hungry eyes on the proceedings here. But what really excited us wasn't the cocktails, Billy Zane (in the house!), or Brit musician Carl Barat from the Libertines (also in the house). It was our own beautiful Chicagoans.
As a part of Burberry's Art of the Trench campaign, some of Chicago's hottest tastemakers (Jessica Zweig, Seth Putnam, Azeeza Khan, and more) were snapped wearing the brand's iconic coats for photos that appeared on huge LED screens throughout the store.
Sounds like fun, right? Well, don't worry — you didn't miss out. Click through to see some of the city's most familiar faces, U.K. style!
