Free Yoga? You Bet Your Bhakti!

main
There's nothing better than balancing the mind and body (and getting some killer guns in the process) after a long day — or week — with a yoga class. But let's be honest, sometimes it's a little difficult to wind down in a jam-packed studio that smells less than pleasant — no matter how much you love Bikram. Take a breather and head out to Belmont Harbor for free yoga on the lake every Tuesday and Sunday throughout the month of August. While the classes are run by Fitness Formula Clubs, you need not be a member to take advantage of this fun fitness escape.

Instructor Noah Powell will guide seasoned and new yogis through the Ashtanga method (also considered the original Vinyasa or Flow method) while using authentic Sanskrit counts. He's known for being great at helping participants of all levels, so don't worry about being placed in the downward dog house.
Sound good? Just remember it's BYOM (bring your own mat).

When: Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: Belmont Harbor. Make your way under Lake Shore Drive at the Addison walking tunnel, turn right and continue south. At the toll booth, turn left and continue on the outside of the Harbor until you reach the furthest point south.
