Mondays have a bad rep, but not the one that happened this week. In fact, instead of our usual vino and reruns ritual, we cohosted a Mix Masters party with new dating app Swoon to celebrate the debut of
Popular Noise. Hey, a little party never hurt nobody, right?
The cool cats at Kinfolk Studios in Williamsburg opened their doors and turned the restaurant/bar/cafe into a party space for more than 300 R29 lovelies. DJs Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem and Jay Green of "Cheap Shots" took turns on the ones and twos while guests flipped through Popular Noise, sipped on Swoon-inspired cocktails (very appropriately named Pillow Talk and Secret Crush), and noshed on tacos from El Paso Truck. Yep, it was definitely not your run-of-the-mill Monday night.
Of course, the Swoon photo booth and our very own photog caught the best moments from the entire bash. But if you missed the bash (why? why?), we've got it all ahead. Now who's ready to party?
