This Is The Kinkiest City In The U.S.A.

According to a survey conducted by Kink University, our friends in the Pacific Northwest are doing much more than scaling mountains and fly fishing. To celebrate its launch, Kink U, an arm of Kink.com dedicated to fetish education, embarked on a quest to identify the kinkiest cities in the United States. (They limited the search to 50 cities with populations above 50,000.) Researchers employed four different metrics: total kinkster population "as measured by active members on kink social network Fetlife;" "the percentage of the population that identifies as kinky" (seems like a reasonable indicator); "the number of kink-aware professionals (therapists, doctors, lawyers);" and inhabitants' porn purchases. The results are in and the kinkiest city in the world is — drumroll, please — Portland, OR, with a grand total of 3.99% of residents who are kinky. (Not that Portlanders will brag about it, though. Oregon was also recently named the second-most humble city in the U.S.) Below is the full list of kinkiest cities and if kink's your thing, start planning your cross-country road trip accordingly. 1.
